80/400 optical system - For sky and ground
For sky and terrestrial observation: The Omegon 80/400 tube allows you to do both. This type of optics is known as Rich-Field or comet finder. The field of view is so large that you can see a large section of the sky. Comet researchers appreciate equipment with short focal lengths. But apart from comets, with this telescope you can also observe open star clusters or galaxies like Andromeda.

Whether observing celestial or terrestrial objects, the Omegon 80/400 optical tube will come in handy in either case. These types of optical tubes are known as wide-field telescopes or comet finders. The field of view is so large that it allows you to observe huge regions in the sky. Comet hunters prefer telescopes with a shorter focal length. If spacewalks are your thing, this telescope offers you the chance to visit the famous Andromeda galaxy and many other open star clusters.

But if you also enjoy observations in the countryside, you can also use it to spot roe deer in the forest, rocks and chamois in the mountains or ships on the sea horizon and, when it gets dark, explore the Universe again.

Omegon AZ-3 mount - Precision thanks to slow travel on both axes
It is an altazimuth mount with slow movement in both axes. With the AZ-3 mount it is easy to keep any astronomical or terrestrial object in the field of view. Simply move the control panel in the desired direction while viewing any object for the mount to track it. Even while viewing at high magnification factors! The observer only has to worry about enjoying himself while the mount intuitively tracks.

It has a thick central screw to choose between the following observation modes: terrestrial horizontal or vertical astronomical. Allows you to locate any observation point. The AZ-3 mount can be rotated 360º to achieve any angle with the telescope.
