Elegant design combined with the features of a new generation of telescopes!
Building on the foundations of the popular Evostar series with dual ED refractors, Skywatcher has developed the completely new Evolux ED series. It is aimed at demanding astrophotographers looking for a light telescope with high performance. Of course, with their high performance, Evolux ED models are also excellent for visual observation.
Evolux telescopes are perfect wide-field instruments, ideal for observing and photographing large areas of the sky. The dual lens is made up of a combination of glass optical elements, including a low-refraction ED element. Thanks to this, stars look sharp and images have high contrast and no visible chromatic aberration. All lens elements are treated with Skywatcher's advanced Metallic High-Transmission Coating (MHTC™), one of the highest quality multi-layer coatings in its class. This achieves up to 99.5% light transmission.
Evolux telescopes are supplied in an aluminum case with foam insert and are equipped with a 2.4" dual speed rack and pinion focuser and a Vixen tube clamp with prismatic rail. The dew cap can be folded to facilitate transportation.
An optional field flattener is available for photography. This optical accessory ensures sharp images of stars even in the corners of the image field and reduces the focal length. This makes the Evolux a fast, four-lens corrected optic for astronomical photography.
