Zoom Baader Microstage II

If, for example, you intend to work with a compact digital camera, which lacks any lens thread for performing afocal projection photography, in this case use Baader Microstage II: the solution to all problems regarding adaptation.

You can combine it with all eyepieces with diameters from 29 mm to 62 mm. You can mount cameras weighing up to 1 kg on the Microstage II. It is equipped with a platform that can be adjusted in all directions, similar to the adjustable cross table of a microscope. This way you can centrally position the optical axis of any small digital camera behind the eyepiece.

Despite the robust construction, it is a light tool weighing 290 grams and requiring a small space of only 175x120x26 mm. You can easily and compactly store it in all accessory cases.

Additionally, you can move the Microstage II away from the eyepiece to, for example, visually focus. Microstage II then returns exactly to the previously set position.

Baader's Microstage II eliminates the problem of vignetting that can occur in ocular projection. Now, in combination with digital cameras, you can use eyepieces with an exit aperture of sufficient size. This gives you the opportunity to take photographs - for example of the surface of the moon - that fill the entire format, without unwanted dark corners.
