Prisms and diagonal mirrors

The zenithal prisms They are important instruments that bend the light rays entering the telescope, making possible a comfortable vision so that you can enjoy the observation. To do this, the zenith prism deflects the ray by 90º. These pieces are essential in the case of refracting telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain, and Maksutov optics.

Amici ceiling prisms They deflect the light by 45º or 90º, thus achieving a straight vertical and non-specular horizontal image for terrestrial observation.
