Video eyepiece with a 8.3MP SONY Exmor digital sensor. The sensor uses back-illuminated technology to improve light sensitivity and to produce bright and clear images, even in low light. The camera is used for working with dark field or bright field microscopy techniques on objectives with 4x, 10x, and 20x magnification. It also works with stereoscopic microscopes. A USB 3.0 port with a high data transfer rate (5 Gbps) is used to connect it to a computer and display images on the screen.

The MAGUS CDF30 camera can be installed in the trinocular tube or the eyepiece tube of a microscope. The maximum field of view without optical defects can be achieved using an adapter with 0.65x–0.9x magnification. To install it in the eyepiece tube, in addition to the adapter, you will also need an adapter that matches the diameter of the tube.

The image is displayed on the computer screen with a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. The frame rate is 45fps. At a lower resolution (1920x1080 pixels), the frame rate increases to 70fps. The transitions between frames are almost imperceptible, with no delays, so the camera can be used to study and display moving objects. Photos and videos are recorded and saved in various formats.

Before using the MAGUS CDF30 digital camera, a special program must be installed on the computer. The camera comes with a CD containing drivers and MAGUS View software. The software must be calibrated for each objective. This requires a calibration slide, which is not included in the kit.
