Color CMOS digital camera with backlighting. The sensor is characterized by a low noise level and increased light sensitivity (462 mV at 1/30 s). The camera produces bright and detailed images even in low light. It is used for dark field or bright field studies with 4x, 10x, and 20x objectives. The MAGUS CDF70 camera provides a high level of detail even when observing moving objects.
The maximum resolution of this camera is 5440x3648 pixels. At this resolution, the frame rate is 20fps. You can set lower resolutions with higher frame rates: 2736x1824 pixels (48fps) or 1824x1216 pixels (58fps). With these resolutions and speeds, the camera serves to observe moving objects. The transition of frames is smooth, without delays, so the object is comfortable to observe and show to the audience.
The MAGUS CDF70 camera is installed in the trinocular tube or in the microscope's eyepiece tube instead of the eyepiece. In both cases, a C-mount adapter of the appropriate diameter is required, and adapter rings are also needed for installation in the eyepiece tube. The camera installed on the microscope is connected to the computer via a USB 3.0 port with a data transfer speed of 5 Gbps.
Before starting, it is necessary to install the included MAGUS View software and drivers on the computer. All camera functions require the software: image display on a monitor, taking photos and video, editing, etc. The program must be calibrated for each objective using a calibration slide (optional accessory).
