MAGUS CLM cameras are designed for mounting on a microscope and recording in fluorescence and darkfield techniques. The CLM50 model is suitable for working with 60x and 100x objectives. Its 1.7MP sensor produces a 1600x1100-pixel image. The frame rate is 33 fps. The camera is equipped with a special cooling element that prevents the sensor from heating up and maintains high image quality. The global shutter instantly captures and forms an image without distortion or ghosting, even if the specimen is moving. The camera is equipped with a USB 3.0 interface. It transfers data to a computer at high speed, so when the image is displayed on an external screen, it does not lose quality. The camera is intended for use in a professional environment or for university teaching.

The camera is designed based on the SONY Exmor color CMOS sensor. These sensors use backlighting technology to improve light sensitivity. The CLM50 combines a large 1.1'' sensor with a large 9x9 µm pixel to produce a light sensitivity of 4910 mV at 1/30 s. The camera generates a color image, which can be useful when conducting studies related to the color of the sample.

The camera is equipped with a special cooling module: a Peltier element. With prolonged use, the sensor heats up and generates thermal noise in the image. The Peltier element cools the sensor to 42 °C below ambient temperature. As a result, the image remains sharp and the camera can shoot without interference, even at long shutter speeds.

Another advantage of this model is the global shutter. It reads the signal from all pixels simultaneously and instantly captures a realistic image without distortion, even if the object is moving.

The camera comes equipped with software. It allows you to take photos and record videos, edit the results, and measure the linear and angular dimensions of an object and its structures. The camera is mounted on the trinocular tube of the microscope using a C-mount adapter.
