MAGUS CEI A18 LED episcopic light with power supply and objective insert
Reflected light illuminator for CMO stereo microscopes

An episcopic light provides bright, shadow-free illumination of the field of view without damaging the sample with heat. It is used to illuminate opaque objects in stereomicroscopy.

An attachment is mounted between the microscope head and the zoom objective. The light source is located in the lamp holder. The lamp holder is connected to the attachment via a flexible dual light guide. Light enters the attachment through the light guide and is then directed to the sample through the objective. This illumination method allows for a sharp image without reflections or shadows, even at high magnification of the microscope objective.

A quarter-wave plate is used with coaxial illumination. A quarter-wave plate reduces reflections and improves image quality by controlling the polarization of light.

Brightness is adjustable. AC power supply.

An episcopic light is used to study samples and for quality control in forensics, biology, microelectronics, and printing.
