The MiniTrack LX3 Essentials is the economical basic version of the MiniTrack LX3 and contains a small polar scope tube, instead of an optical one.

The most beautiful Milky Way images with the MiniTrack LX3
The Omegon MiniTrack LX3 is a mini-mount that guarantees impeccable astrophotos with wide-angle and lightweight telephoto lenses. With it, you'll get captivating images of the starry sky with astonishing ease, especially if you don't have too much experience in astrophotography. And all without electricity, with pure mechanics. Although the previous version already set the bar high, some details have been improved in the MiniTrack LX3 and it is now 60% more accurate, for spectacular captures that will impress everyone. Try it and get excellent images without complications.

Summary of advantages:

  • Photograph the night sky from anywhere in the northern hemisphere successfully and effortlessly
  • No charging: works with a mechanical clock without batteries or plugs
  • Just wind the mount
  • Ideal for panoramic starry sky captures and for use with telephoto lenses

The most outstanding features of the MiniTrack LX3 Essentials:

  • Higher load capacity: the MiniTrack LX3 supports cameras and accessories up to 3 kg
  • A large Teflon bushing ensures smooth and fluid movement
  • Greater control: the robust damping system slows down or speeds up movement
  • CNC machined body: the casing is now better, more beautiful and, above all, more stable
  • Plastic polar scope tube, for alignment in the polar region

Better astrophotos both at home and when traveling
Now, in addition to typical vacation photos, you can take home impressive astro-memories from your travels. It's simpler than it seems. All you need is a tripod, the MiniTrack mount, a ball head, and your camera. Reduced to the essentials, this equipment has a clear mission: to take astrophotos that catch everyone's attention. And it fulfills it perfectly...

60-minute mechanical tracking
MiniTrack has a mechanical heart with no room for electronics. A high-precision clock is responsible for precisely guiding your camera. Tracking starts by simply winding the MiniTrack like an analog clock. The mount never stops, even at sub-zero temperatures. It works smoothly even with telephoto lenses. That's why it's not surprising that this specialist in wide-field captures has won the hearts of so many amateur astronomers.

Like a counterbalance: improved spring system
The MiniTrack LX3 does not have a counterbalance, but rather a spring system that replaces it and makes this mount an extremely compact and travel-friendly option. And the novelty: an improved spring system is responsible for keeping the camera in place when weight is loaded on a single end and for accelerating or slowing down tracking. This increases flexibility and precision when tracking the path of celestial bodies.

Tip: The ideal tracking speed is when the clock ticks 130-135 times per minute. The spring should be tensioned individually depending on the weight of the camera you attach. To measure ticks per minute, we recommend using a "TapTempo-App BPM" metronome for smartphones. This is a tool designed to automatically measure the tempo of a piece of music. Feel free to download one of these applications to measure the speed of your MiniTrack.

Large Teflon bushing
The MiniTrack has undergone a complete design improvement: its new Teflon bushing is larger and ensures incredibly fluid movement so that your camera glides even more smoothly during tracking.

CNC machined housing
More beautiful to look at but also more durable: this is the housing of the new MiniTrack LX3 mount, which is made of much more resistant milled aluminum. So don't be afraid to put your mount through its paces! Quality is assured even after years.

Higher load capacity, same portability
You always have to go one step further: the MiniTrack now supports cameras up to 3 kg. But the mount remains as small, light and easy to transport as before. The difference is that it now allows larger cameras or those with longer lenses to be attached. And all with the same great stability as ever.

Compatible with any tripod
The MiniTrack mount has two connections: for a tripod and for a camera or ball head. You just have to place the MiniTrack as usual on the 1/4" screw of your photographic tripod and orient it in the desired direction. At the other end, a ball head with a 3/8" thread can be attached.

Designed and developed by Christian Fattinnanzi
The MiniTrack mount is a creation of the Italian Christian Fattinnanzi. Omegon is responsible for its distribution, thus making it available to a wider circle of photographers and nature lovers.

With this mechanical mini-mount, you can now take astrophotos without complications. No electricity. No charging. No batteries. It's photography in its purest form. Anytime, anywhere.
