To produce a three-dimensional image, the CMO stereomicroscope uses a common main objective lens, which is positioned exactly perpendicular to the sample plane. Light that passes through or is reflected from the sample into it enters the main objective lens and is distributed into two parallel optical channels. The stereo angle is 11°. The light enters the eyepieces or digital camera. By changing the main objective lens, the magnification, field of view, and working distance of the microscope are changed.
MAGUS Stereo A6, A8, and A10 microscopes are equipped with a 1x achromatic objective lens that provides a high degree of correction for field curvature as well as spherical and chromatic aberrations. The MAGUS 03A 0.3x achromatic main objective lens increases the working distance without loss of image quality and expands the field of view in the eyepieces and in the digital camera, while reducing the total magnification of the stereomicroscope.
