The Levenhuk MED X/Y Calibration Slide is a necessary accessory for calibrating image analysis software. It determines the correction factor so that the software can quickly convert values to different units of measurement. The calibration slide can be used with all brands of microscopes.
The Levenhuk MED X/Y Calibration Slide is a transparent glass piece. There is a micrometer scale in the center. The minimum division is 0.01 mm. There are circles of different diameters (1.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.15 mm, and 0.07 mm) on both sides of the scale.
How to use the calibration slide:
1.    Fix the slide on the microscope stage.
2.    Rotate the revolving nosepiece to select the working objective lens.
3.    Set the camera to maximum resolution shooting mode, and then take a photograph of the scale.
4.    In the image analysis software, select the calibration mode, use the mouse to specify the maximum visible distance, and then enter the resulting value in real units.
5.    Write the calibration name and double-check the values.
6.    If everything is done correctly, the software will remember the correction factor, and in the future, it will independently convert the values into the necessary units of measurement.
