The PowerTank Lithium LT is a particularly light battery, ideal for telescopes of the following Celestron series and similar:

• Astro-Fi
• NexStar SLT
• NexStar SE
• LCM
• AVX.

The PowerTank Lithium LT uses lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (LiNiMnCoO2) technology, also known as NMC technology , which provides a constant power supply over long periods of time and requires less maintenance than a conventional sealed lead-acid battery.

This battery is ideal for astronomy , because the electronics of modern telescopes are very sensitive to incorrect voltage. If a telescope is supplied with too low a voltage, the motors may suffer under higher loads and even the electronics may fail. The PowerTank Lithium LT uses a built-in voltage regulator to ensure at least 11.8 volts all the time, until the battery is almost empty and it turns off.

The PowerTank Lithium LT is smaller, lighter, more efficient and more environmentally friendly than a classic lead acid battery. It also offers better performance, longer life and safer operation than other cheaper lithium-ion batteries. It also has automatic shutdown, reverse polarity protection and charge/discharge protection, as well as overvoltage and short circuit protection.

Output voltages:

• Telescope: 12V DC at 3000mA, 5.5mm/2.1mm, positive pole inside
• USB: 5 V DC at 2100 mA.

You can use the PowerTank Lithium LT to charge the telescope and a smartphone at the same time.

The battery comes with a power supply with several plugs, a connection cable for Celestron telescopes and a strip of adhesive strap to attach it to the tripod.

The battery meets current FAA regulations for carry-on baggage.
