The Omegon AC 70/700 telescope opens the door to the world of stars. It's so easy to use that children and adults can operate it without any problems.

You can assemble the telescope easily and quickly, without tools, following the motto: position, insert the eyepiece, observe!

The AC 70/700 optical system:

With a 70mm aperture, this refractor has a light-gathering potential 100 times greater than the human eye and, therefore, considerably surpasses classic beginner telescopes with a slightly smaller 60mm aperture. This means it offers higher resolution, and with its maximum magnification of 140x, it already reveals details of the large planets: Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. The Moon is also a very interesting object: you can observe the lunar surface with its craters in excellent detail, which, depending on the phase, presents different appearances. Interesting observations of nature are also possible during the day with the aid of an inverting lens or an Amici prism. The system is focused using an adjustment wheel located on the eyepiece tube, which drives a toothed bar. This allows you to precisely adjust the system and lock it in place for observation.

The optical system is also ideal for use as a viewfinder, combined with a large telescope for photographing or tracking objects.

The advantages are clear:

  • Easy assembly in just a few minutes
  • Gather 36% more light than a 60mm telescope
  • Very clear and richly contrasting representation
  • 1.25" telescopic tube for all standard eyepieces

We supply:

  • Omegon AC 70/700 tube with 70mm aperture and 700mm focal length
  • Binocular viewer
  • 20mm and 10mm eyepieces
  • 2x Barlow lenses (1.25)
  • 90° overhead mirror (1.25")
  • The AZ-2 mount:

This mount is highly valued by astronomy beginners, as it stands out for its ease of use. The entire telescope can be moved smoothly both in altitude and height. For beginners, this means they don't have to deal with complicated pre-setup. You can position your telescope quickly and easily: position the tripod and mount, attach the telescope, and you're ready to go! You can fine-tune both axes, ensuring that any terrestrial objects you encounter are captured in the image. The vertical axis allows for fine adjustment of the telescope tube. The mount is mounted on a height-adjustable aluminum tripod.

We supply:

  • AZ-2 Altazimuth Mount
  • sturdy aluminum tripod (height adjustable between 71cm and 121cm)
  • Slides
