The 60/700 optical system:

The optical system of this refractor telescope with an objective aperture of 60mm and focal length of 700mm is the ideal tool to orient yourself in the sky, to observe the large planets Saturn, Jupiter and Mars, and even reveals, under favorable conditions, known objects from deep space like the Andromeda galaxy. His first astronomical "excursions" probably have the moon as their objective. You will be amazed by the clear, contrast-rich representations of the lunar craters. The attached reversing lens also makes it possible to observe nature during the day, as it inverts the image represented by the telescope.

The AZ-1 mount:

It is a mount highly appreciated by astronomical beginners, as it stands out for its easy handling. The entire telescope can be moved without problems both altazimuthally and with respect to altitude. For you as a beginner, this has the advantage that you do not have to engage in complicated pre-adjustment of the telescope. You position your telescope very quickly and easily: Position tripod and mount, mount the telescope and go! You can fix the adjustment of both axes, this way found terrestrial objects stay in the image. In the vertical axis you can move the tube by fine adjustment. The mount is mounted on a variable height aluminum tripod.
