120mm Achromatic Refractor Telescope for Planetary Observation
Large diameter for beautiful detailed observations of the Moon, Sun (with the right filter), Jupiter and Saturn
Discover some of the brightest deep sky objects.
Supplied with clamps, dovetail, diagonal star and a 28mm LET eyepiece
120mm diameter achromatic bezel. TheSky -Watcher 120/1000 bezel is one of the large diameter refractors, which allows you to observe the deep sky.In fact,Its 120mm lens reaps 44% more brightness compared to a 100mm bezel. With no central obstruction, this 120mm refractor collects almost as much light as a 130mm Newton .Its focal length of 1000mm gives it an intermediate aperture ratio (f/8.33) that is appreciable in both planetary observation and stellar photography. In visual observation, you can take a tour of the most beautiful Messier objects and discover the brightest nebulae, galaxies and globular clusters.
The dual air element achromatic objective is multi-coated and provides quality low and medium magnification images of Jupiter, Saturn (the ringed planet), and the numerous lunar craters.Sun,By completing the instrument with a solar filter, it reveals sunspots on its surface depending on the day.
Focusing is achieved through a bi-flux rack and pinion focusing system.A 31.75 mm adapter is supplied as standard to use eyepieces of the same format.A clamping screw located on the top of the eyepiece allows focus to be maintained according to the orientation of the telescope. The tube is collimated at the factory and requires no maintenance unlike reflecting telescopes.
A little extra: on the first clamp, a Kodak threaded screw allows you to adapt a camera in parallel.
