90mm achromatic telescope for planetary observation
Large f/10 focal ratio, limiting chromaticism
It allows you to discover in detail the Moon, the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn
Versatile day and night observation.
Mount to compensate the Earth's rotation in 1 axis
All about the Sky-Watcher 90/900 tube
90mm diameter achromatic tube,This model is perfect for beginners who want to invest in an instrument that allows them to discover the planets and the Moon for a moderate budget. With 65% more light compared to a 70mm scope, it offers more possibilities. Its long focal length of 900 mm gives it a large aperture ratio (f/10)which reduces the influence of chromaticism(appearance of colored edges at high magnifications).
The dual air element achromatic objective is multi-coated and provides quality low and medium magnification images of Jupiter, Saturn (the ringed planet), and the many lunar craters.Sun,By completing the instrument with a solar filter, it reveals sunspots on its surface depending on the day.
The EQ2 mount with said instrument allows for precise positioningin the sky thanks to the flexibles present on each axis. The fixing collars allow the glasses to be adapted to the frame. The equatorial mode design allows after parking (simple adjustment of the orientation of the mount towards the North Star) to compensate for rotation not in two axes (altaz mount) but only in one.You can even add a motor as an option for added convenience.
